Why I Do This

People that know me well know that when I’m in-person I like to entertain people, tell stories, and take over a room with my voice and personality. I’ve been told on numerous occasions, and it isn’t wrong, that I think life is my stage and my mouth is my microphone. Some of my bullshit is happy and funny, some are true life stories of things I’ve done or been through, and other stuff is just made up shit that captivates the people listening. Some say I’m an attention seeker and in a lot of ways I am, but I entertain my weird self just the same when it’s just me in the room or 1,000 people in the room. I don’t really look at it as seeking attention. I love the bond you build with the people in the room and you can lead them into laughter or tears, or the wow factor. However, the reason I do this particular passion project is for a totally different reason entirely. The website, the writing, the sports, and sharing it across the different platforms is all not the same as why I am the way I am in-person. With this it’s about sharing my passion for sports or life in my own words. It is about the love of writing and having others who might give a shit, read it, and for a few minutes lose themselves in thought. Some of it is educational, opinion based, or thought provoking. I do this for the simple passion for the subject and the love of putting words together, which is a total 180 from what I seek in-person. So, before you think it is all about attention seeking, remember it is more than that to me, and as long as I have my own attention, I don’t really need you. I’m fucking hilarious alone. Be you whether someone is listening or watching at all.
