The Pro Football Hall of Fame festivities have begun in Canton, Ohio. That is the unofficial beginning to the upcoming NFL football season. With the preseason right around the corner, it was time for us to start the series of predicting each division and their winner from both the NFC and the AFC. We have already done the NFC West, NFC South, and NFC North; and now we are moving on to the NFC East.
Philadelphia Eagles – I have Philly taking the NFC East. They had a shot last year, but had a second half collapse to finish 2nd. They don’t have to deal with a first place schedule this year, but do have tough road games. I still think their coaching and personnel are going to get the job done this year, and now they have Saquon Barkley.
Dallas Cowboys – Dem boys won the division last year, but while a few of the teams have gotten better, they don’t seem to have done much, and they still need to figure out this contract stuff with Dak. With that potentially hanging over their heads, it could really be distraction. I think they take a step back this year.
Washington Commanders – These guys finished 4th in the division last year, but I don’t think they have enough quite yet to pull further up than one spot. I love the roster they are building and it will pay dividends in the coming years. I just think they need another one under their belt before we lift them any further. On the same note, I wouldn’t be overly shocked if they pull this off a year early. Stay tuned.
New York Giants – They finished 3rd in the division last year, but it doesn’t look like they did much of anything in the offseason except go backwards. They lost Saquon as previously mentioned in this article, and let’s not forget their Quarterback room is a who’s who of, who the hell are these guys. There isn’t much to this roster right now and that is why I’m picking them to fall this year and finish dead last in the NFC East.
