JayBird Talks: Top-30 Favorite TV Shows #30-20

We decided to share with the world, whether they care or not, the JayBird Talks favorite TV shows of all-time in a three part series countdown. These are favorites, not a ranking of the best of all-time, so you’ll most certainly have yours that are in a vastly different in-order. Let’s get started here with numbers 30 through 20 on our list. We had one that is our Honorable Mention, first one out which is none other than Game of Thrones.

#30 – The First 48 – A crime show that goes through a few cases on each episode about solving a murder crime within 48 hours as after that, the chances significantly drop of being able to solve after that frame of time.

#29 – Chappelle’s Show – A comedy skit show from comedian Dave Chappelle. This show pushed the limits of every subject not many other dare to touch, and it was the funniest and most brilliant of its kind.

#28 – Cold Case Files – Another crime show based around the fact that at the beginning of the investigation there was little to no leads to solve and it goes cold over time. On this show a lot of times they eventually solve it and sometimes at the end of an episode it remains unsolved.

#27 – Two and a Half Men – A comedy sitcom starting Charlie Sheen which eventually replaced him with Ashton Kutcher.

#26 – 20/20 – Mostly a crime show that goes through stories of very specific overly fascinating situations of crime and they break down all the details with sometimes being solved and sometimes episodes just create awareness. They also have episodes of famous stories of pop culture that have or will captivate an audience.

#25 – Jeopardy – A long running game show where the smartest of the smart compete for money as they answer in the form of the question. It is almost like getting the answer first and answering in a question form for that answer. Alex Trebek was the long running host before his passing.

#24 – Forensic Files – Yet another crime show where they go over a murder case that may or may not have went cold also, but they focus on new age forensic material and steps to solve cases that had little to no witnesses, but the forensics either free someone wrongfully convicted or finally puts someone away responsible for the crime.

#23 – Dateline – Another show that leans more to the crime story telling category. It is very similar to 20/20 with different hosts and story tellers, but pretty much goes along the same way.

#22 – Narcos – A crime drama series that started as an exclusive on Netflix. It followed the story of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, the leader of the Medellín Cartel as one of the most ruthless and successful drug kingpins in world history.

#21 – Friday Night Lights – A sports drama series that follows a high school football team in the fictional town of Dillon in West Texas.

#20 – Homeland – An espionage drama/thriller series. It follows a CIA agent with bipolar disorder and a Marine Sniper with one convinced the other was turned while being held captive by the terrorist group al-Qaeda. It originally started on Showtime and the story continues to grow with each episode.
