JayBird Talks: Top-30 Favorite TV Shows #19-10

We decided to share with the world, whether they care or not, the JayBird Talks favorite TV shows of all-time in a three part series countdown. These are favorites, not a ranking of the best of all-time, so you’ll most certainly have yours that are in a vastly different in-order. We started last week with numbers 30 through 20 on our list. You can read that here. Below are numbers 19-10.

#19 – Lucifer – It’s considered an urban fantasy series. It follows Lucifer Morningstar, a different version of the DC Comics character of the same name. Lucifer is the Devil who leaves hell to run a nightclub in Los Angeles. He pretty much does whatever he wants as he knows if things get too real he can just go back to hell and run that. He eventually becomes a consultant for the LAPD.

#18 – The Office (US) – A comedy mockumentary sitcom. It follows the everyday life of employees of a paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania named Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.

#17 – Fresh Prince of Bel-Air – A comedy sitcom starring Will Smith. He’s forced to move to California with his mother’s sister, husband, and kids who are extremely wealthy as he’s gotten himself into trouble with some bad people back in his hometown of West Philadelphia. He lifestyle is flipped as he deals with being himself while getting to know the rich life and fitting in as best he can.

#16 – Big Bang Theory – Another comedy sitcom. It started out centered around five characters in Pasadena, California. There were four scientists working for a local university and then a beautiful blonde girl moves in across the hall of two of their apartment. A few more consistent characters show up as the show continues and takes more shape as they go through their social awkward lives.

#15 – Nip/Tuck – An American medical drama series. It revolves around two friends who are plastic surgeons with one being a family man and the other being the opposite of that. It includes both their professional lives within their practice and their personal lives.

#14 – Breaking Bad – A crime drama television series. The show follows Bryan Cranston, an under-paid and over-qualified high school chemistry teacher. He finds out he has stage three cancer. He turns to a life of crime and teams up with a former student to produce and sell Meth to make sure his family is taken care of financially after he’s gone.

#13 – Seinfeld – A comedy sitcom. It was created by Larry David and comedian Jerry Seinfeld. It shows a fake version of himself and his three friends as they navigate life in New York City, careers, and personal lives. It pretty much pokes fun at the normal boring everyday life things we just pass right through each day.

#12 – Friends – Yet another comedy sitcom. It revolves around six friends in their 20’s that also live in Manhattan, New York City. It splits time between their apartments and the local coffee shop. It shows them into their early 30’s, though all types of career moves, relationships, and friendships day to day.

#11 – Entourage – An American comedy-drama series. It chronicles the acting career of up and comer Vincent Chase, his brother, and their childhood friends. They are all from Queens, New York, but as Vincent becomes an A-lister they navigate his career in Hollywood as they’ve moved out to California to help him pursue fame and fortune.

#10 – Peaky Blinders – A British period crime drama. The Peaky Blinders are a crime gang after World War I. It follows their rise and exploits as their leader Tommy Shelby has his goals get bigger each episode as he wants to be considered one of the biggest, baddest, and successful people of his generation.
