College Football: The Best Of

I’ve been to A LOT of College Football games. I’ve been to A LOT of college campuses and have seen a lot of traditions, atmospheres, and fans. Here are the best of’s based off of my experiences.

Best General Tradition – Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Best Night Game Experience – Penn State White-Out

Best In-Game Tradition – Iowa Hawkeye’s Children’s Hospital Wave

Best Entrance – Virginia Tech entering to Enter Sandman by Metallica. It registers on the Richter scale!

Best Tailgating / Pregaming – The Grove at Ole Miss.

Best General Gameday Atmosphere – University of Tennessee at Rocky Top. It’s an insanely epic experience. Pure passion and insanity amongst well over 100,000.

Best Fan Interaction – University of Wisconsin home game at Camp Randall. When they do the Jump Around between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Even the visiting teams and fans are encouraged to join in and the home team and their fans love it and get into it WITH you. It’s cool to have them welcome you for those few moments. Those fans are so nice even after they beat you or you beat them.

Best Stadium – LA Memorial Coliseum. It was even more amazing when USC was in their heyday with Reggie Bush and company. It’s the home of the Rose Bowl for crying out loud. Not to mention the view of the San Gabriel Mountains in the background in Pasadena, California!

Best Rivalry Experience – Ohio State Buckeyes vs Michigan. This holds the crown whether it is in Ann Arbor or Columbus. It doesn’t need a fancy name, because it is so legendary, it is simply called, “The Game.” Enough said.
